Data policy

Responsible business data practices.

Kumquat focuses on verified business data, public-source datasets, AI-agent-ready lead lists, structured commercial intelligence, custom data sourcing, compliance-conscious data workflows, and human-reviewed datasets for legitimate business workflows.

Our position

Built for responsible data use.

Kumquat focuses on business-facing datasets, public-source research, and structured commercial intelligence. We do not position our products as consumer surveillance, sensitive personal data, or spam databases. Our goal is to help legitimate teams discover businesses, markets, creators, vendors, and opportunities using transparent, practical data.

California's Delete Act requires qualifying data brokers to register annually, and starting August 1, 2026, registered brokers must process deletion requests through the DROP system every 45 days. Kumquat monitors this landscape and designs its workflows around practical source transparency, correction, removal, and acceptable-use expectations.

Removal requests

If you believe a Kumquat dataset includes information that should be removed, email info@athena.live with the relevant business name, URL, email address or phone number, the dataset name if known, and a short explanation of the request.

Kumquat will review reasonable removal requests and update future versions of affected datasets where appropriate.

Corrections

Businesses can request corrections by emailing info@athena.live with the inaccurate field, the correct replacement, and a public source that supports the correction.

Public business information changes often, so Kumquat encourages customers to verify data before use.
